Dark Hollow Falls is a waterfall in Virginia’s Shenandoah National Park at an elevation of 3,429 feet. As the closest waterfall to Skyline Drive, it has become one of the park’s most accessible natural attractions. The falls descend about 70 feet, reached by a 1.4-mile loop trail that begins at the Skyline Drive parking lot. That ease of access has made this the most traveled trail in Shenandoah National Park. The site is especially valued as one of the park’s best-known short hikes, bringing a substantial mountain waterfall within a relatively brief walk.
