Mount Aire is an 8,621-foot peak in the Wasatch Range of the Rocky Mountains, about 11 miles east-southeast of downtown Salt Lake City. On land managed by Wasatch National Forest, its south slope drains toward Mill Creek and its other sides toward Parleys Creek. The mountain rises dramatically above Parleys Canyon, gaining more than 2,600 feet in 1.5 miles and creating notably steep local relief. A roughly 3.8-mile round-trip trail climbs 1,987 feet to a summit known for broad views of the surrounding mountains. Mount Aire is also the name of a nearby summer-home area in Mount Aire Canyon northwest of the summit.
