Grandeur Peak is an 8,299-foot summit in the Wasatch Range southeast of Salt Lake City, rising prominently above the Salt Lake Valley as part of the Rocky Mountains. Often regarded as one of the most accessible major peaks above the valley, it climbs steeply from nearby canyons, with dramatic local relief above Parleys Canyon and Millcreek Canyon. Water from its north slope flows to Parleys Creek, while the south slope drains to Mill Creek. On land managed by the Uinta-Wasatch-Cache National Forest, it is a popular hiking destination, with a common route offering broad views over Salt Lake City from the summit.
