A prayer asks the Lord, who guides the stars and heals the broken heart, to protect sons and daughters called missing, whose place and circumstance are wholly known to him. It asks that if they are in prison camps or in loneliness, he will walk with them through the wilderness to guard and guide them; that if troubled watches of the night bring weakness to their bodies, he will stand guard beside them; and that if their sojourn here is over, the risen Lord of life will receive them to his home.
