Hummingbird Springs Wilderness is a 31,200-acre protected desert mountain area in northwestern Maricopa County, Arizona, in the northern reaches of the central Sonoran Desert. It occupies the northwest end of the Belmont Mountains and adjoins the Big Horn Mountains Wilderness along its southwest edge, where the two ranges border the small Tonopah Desert. Parts of both mountain areas drain northwest into Tiger Wash, within the upper central portion of Centennial Wash, a tributary of the Gila River. Sugarloaf Mountain, at 3,418 feet, is the highest point in both the wilderness and the Belmont Mountains. The area remains preserved as rugged desert country under Bureau of Land Management protection.
