The New England Air Museum in Windsor Locks, Connecticut, beside Bradley International Airport, traces the history of flight from early experimental aircraft to supersonic jets through three display hangars, restoration space, and a major research library. It grew from a preservation effort by Pratt and Whitney employees who organized to save a Louis Bancroft biplane, and it rebuilt after a tornado destroyed the earlier Bradley Air Museum site in 1979.
