The Museum of Political Corruption is an online museum and nonprofit devoted to examining the history and mechanics of political corruption. Created by Bruce Roter, it began as a proposed physical museum in Albany, New York, blending satire with serious scholarship through plans for exhibits and spaces that mocked corrupt culture while remaining grounded in research and museum practice. The project gained support from academics, public figures, and local leaders, and in October 2015 it received a five-year provisional charter from the New York Board of Regents and 501(c)(3) status. Since 2017, it has presented the Nellie Bly Award for investigative reporting, linking civic education, journalism, and the study of corruption.
