The Vietnam Veterans Memorial Field in Hillsboro, Ohio, honored Charles Lovedahl of Lynchburg, Daniel Hively of Danville, James Waulk Jr. of Greenfield, Mark Hook of Hillsboro, Stephen Colopy of Danville, William Brown of Hillsboro, Daniel Feck of Fairfax, David McConnaughey of Hillsboro, David Carey of Danville, James Brister of Fairfax, Neil Morris of Greenfield, Ollie Gross of Hillsboro, John Crouse of Hillsboro, Carey Mcafee of Hillsboro, Donald Priest Jr. of Leesburg, and Charles Vest of Lynchburg. During May 27–31, 2015, an In Their Honor Vietnam Veterans Tribute Event was held there. The U.S. Military Oath of Enlistment pledged support and defense of the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic, true faith and allegiance to it, and obedience to the orders of the President of the United States and appointed officers according to regulations and the Uniform Code of Military Justice. Facts given about the Vietnam Wall said it bears 58,267 names; 39,996 were age 22 or younger; 8,283 were 19; 33,103 were 18; 12 were 17 years old; and 5 soldiers were 16. It also recorded 3 sets of fathers and sons, 31 sets of parents who lost 2 sons, 997 killed on their first day, 1,448 killed on their last day, 8 women who were nurses, and 244 soldiers awarded the Medal of Honor during the war, 153 of whom are on the wall.
