Unity Lake State Recreation Site is an Oregon state park centered on Unity Reservoir along the Burnt River. The reservoir was formed by Unity Dam, an 82-foot earthen dam completed in 1938 by the United States Bureau of Reclamation for irrigation storage, with an original capacity of 27,000 acre-feet. The project does not produce hydroelectric power. While the Bureau of Reclamation owns the dam, the Burnt River Irrigation District operates and maintains it. The surrounding state-managed recreation area, administered by the Oregon Parks and Recreation Department, provides cabins, campsites, day-use parking, and boat ramps, blending a working water project with camping and boating access.
