Frank H. Ono served as a PFC in the U.S. Army’s World War II 442nd Infantry Regiment Combat Team and received the Congressional Medal of Honor for heroic action against the enemy on Hill 140 in Italy on July 4, 1944, as well as the Distinguished Service Cross and Purple Heart.
