Little River State Beach is a protected coastal area in Humboldt County on Northern California’s Pacific shore, at the mouth of the Little River about 13 miles north of Eureka near U.S. Route 101. Established in 1931, it encompasses 152 acres of broad open beach and sand dunes, with the river forming its northern boundary. The site is managed as a California state beach and is open for day use only. Nearby Clam Beach County Park offers camping, while the Hammond Trail links the area with McKinleyville for bicycle and pedestrian access.
