Mayer State Park is an Oregon state park in the Columbia River Gorge near Rowena, close to The Dalles. It consists of several separate parcels split by Interstate 84 and the Union Pacific Railroad tracks rather than one continuous tract. Its most recognized section is the southeastern parcel containing the Rowena Loops, where the Historic Columbia River Highway, formerly U.S. Route 30, climbs from Rowena to Rowena Crest in a series of tight horseshoe curves. An overlook at the top provides sweeping views across this part of the gorge, giving the park importance as both a scenic roadside landscape and a site connected to a historic regional highway.
