Huber Woods Park is a 390-acre park in Middletown Township's Navesink Highlands that preserves former Huber family estate land now used for hiking, riding, birdwatching, and nature education. The area was first inhabited by the Lenape Navesink people, then was purchased by European settlers in 1664 and farmed by the early eighteenth century. Its modern character emerged after Joseph Huber rented the Brown farm in 1904 and his family developed a summer estate there. Through donations, later acquisitions, and the addition of Timolat Farm, the park expanded while protecting Browns' Dock Road and a largely reforesting landscape rich in trails, wildlife, and environmental education.
