Chapel Hill Rear Range Light was a lighthouse off Middletown Township in Monmouth County, New Jersey, that served as the rear light of the Chapel Hill Range, guiding vessels through the Chapel Hill Channel between the main Ambrose Channel and a secondary route into Raritan Bay. One of three identical lights built along the approaches to New York Harbor in the 1850s, it took its name from a Baptist church built in 1809. The rear light stood about 1.5 miles from the front light for a long navigational sightline. Discontinued in 1957, it was replaced by a steel tower and soon became a privately owned building altered over time.
