Arastradero Preserve, officially the Enid W. Pearson–Arastradero Preserve, is a 622-acre protected open space in Palo Alto, California, owned by the city. It encompasses most of the Arastradero Creek watershed, includes varied grassland and evergreen forest habitats, and supports wildlife such as deer, bobcats, coyotes, snakes, many birds, and nearby mountain lions. Its 10.25-mile trail system serves hikers, cyclists, and equestrians, while features such as Arastradero Lake, Sobey Pond, and links to Foothills Park add to its public use. Since 1997, restoration work by Grassroots Ecology and local volunteers has helped preserve native habitat and strengthen its role as both watershed refuge and outdoor recreation area.
