In 1976, the residents of Sayreville, New Jersey presented the contents of this time capsule to the residents of Sayreville, New Jersey in 2076, under Mayor John E Czernikowsky, Councilmen Kenneth W. Buchanan, Sr., Alvin W. Jolly, Joseph Keenan, Thomas R. Kuberski, Raniero Travisano, and Felix Wisniewski, with John Singer serving as President of the Sayreville Historical Society and John B. McCormack as Chairperson of the Sayreville Bicentennial Committee.
