Kirke and Myra Howard Field, the first owners of Miraflores, were Redlands benefactors and among the early founders of the University of Redlands. In 2012, the University acquired Miraflores to serve as the President's Home through the generosity of Richard and Virginia Hunsaker, both Class of 1952. These historic ties reflect the continuing bond between town and gown.
