Soldier dogs in the Vietnam War were trained to use their eyes to watch and protect soldiers from harm, their ears to alert them to impending danger, and their keen sense of smell to detect an enemy nearby. They served as soldiers and gave their lives so others could fight another day. Those remembered here include K.I.A. N.J., Charles P. Brown, Alden J. Bullwinkel, Christopher Z. Czarnota, Richard E. Ford, Claude J. Gaspard Jr., James A. Johnson, Benjamin H. Mason Jr., and David A. Nudenberg.
