Seguin Covered Bridge, built around 1850 in rural eastern Charlotte, Vermont, carries Roscoe Road over Lewis Creek as a one-lane wooden covered bridge. Also called the Upper Covered Bridge, it is a single-span Burr arch structure with an unusual form of overhead bracing that sets it apart from other covered bridges in the state. One of three surviving covered bridges in Charlotte and one of nine in Vermont built with this design, it has undergone repeated repairs, including major work in 1949, 1994, 2001, and 2016. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1974, it remains an active crossing and a significant part of Vermont’s bridge heritage.
