Collins Archeological District is a pre-Columbian site in Kennekuk County Park in Vermilion County, Illinois, dating to the Late Woodland period and used from about 900 to 1100 A.D. Centered on two mounds and a ceremonial area, it appears to have served ritual purposes rather than everyday domestic life. Its ceremonies show Mississippian influence, making the district important evidence of how cultural practices associated with Cahokia spread into other communities and regions. The site's significance was formally recognized when it was added to the National Register of Historic Places on August 3, 1979.
