John Duncan Bulkeley, vice admiral in the United States Navy, was America’s most decorated warrior. Born August 19, 1911, and dying April 6, 1996, he was schooled in Beattystown, graduated from Hackettstown High School in 1928, served in World War II and Korea, and gave his country 59 years of military service.
