Mount Old Baldy is a prominent hill in Garner State Park, Texas, overlooking part of the Frio River, which runs about 250 miles through Central Texas. As one of the park’s best-known viewpoints, it is a defining feature of the landscape. The main trail to its summit is the park’s most popular route, rising nearly 500 feet above the river. Though widely regarded as a difficult climb because of its steep, rocky terrain, the hill’s overlook remains one of the park’s signature destinations.
