Kirker Covered Bridge is a historic covered road bridge in Liberty Township near West Union in southern Ohio, built in the late 1860s with a kingpost truss, a simple timber form used for small rural crossings. Named for Thomas Kirker, an Irish immigrant who became the area’s first permanent settler in 1794 and later served as Ohio governor in 1807–08, it connects local transportation history with the earliest settlement of Adams County. Closed to vehicular traffic in modern times because of the vulnerability of old wooden spans, it was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1975 and was heavily damaged by a tornado on April 2, 2024.
