Mission Friend immigrants from Sweden organized the first church in Minnesota in 1870 on the J.A. Skoglund farm. A church building was erected in 1873 and enlarged in 1910. From 1870 to 1955 it served this rural parish. In 1961 a perpetual care fund was raised, and in 1962 it was dedicated to Covenant N.W. Conf. work. Theo. J. Paulson was pastor from 1916 to 1920 and from 1938 to 1955.
