Vigil Peak is a mountain in the Lewis Range of Glacier National Park in Montana, rising 8,593 feet. With Lake Isabel to its northwest, it forms part of the rugged alpine landscape that defines this section of the northern Rockies. Its importance lies less in a recorded event than in its place within the park’s prominent mountain scenery. Today it remains a protected geographic feature within Glacier National Park, recognized as one of the peaks contributing to the region’s well-known high-country terrain.
