Mount Lemmon Ski Valley is a small alpine ski resort on Mount Lemmon in the Santa Catalina Mountains north of Tucson, Arizona, near Summerhaven in Coronado National Forest. Known as the southernmost ski destination in the continental United States, it has about 200 skiable acres, 22 trails, and three lifts serving terrain from novice to advanced. Its high elevation brings roughly 180 inches of annual snowfall and a season that usually lasts from mid-December into April. Mild winter temperatures, ungroomed slopes, limited winter access, and its operation as a private concession on United States Forest Service land give it an unusual character.
