Mount Lemmon Survey is an astronomical observing program at Mount Lemmon Observatory in Arizona’s Santa Catalina Mountains and part of the Catalina Sky Survey. Using a 1.52-meter reflector telescope with a wide-field camera at high elevation, it has become especially productive in discovering near-Earth objects and is among the world’s most prolific minor-planet surveys, credited with more than 160,000 numbered minor planets. Its notable discoveries include near-Earth asteroid 2008 AO112, Mars trojan 2011 UN63, and Aten asteroid 2012 FC71. In 2008, Andrea Boattini and the team also accidentally rediscovered the lost comet 206P/Barnard-Boattini, first found photographically by Edward Emerson Barnard in 1892.
