Sentinel Rock State Park in Westmore, Vermont, is a three hundred fifty-six-acre, mostly undeveloped public property centered on Sentinel Rock, a dramatic glacial boulder perched at about two thousand thirty-four feet above sea level. Set aside for hiking, educational use, hunting, and trapping, it also preserves traces of the land’s earlier life as a working farm, including access to a former farmhouse site. The property became public land in 1997 when Windsor Wright donated it to the state. Parts of the park continue to be managed as sustainable agricultural and forest land, blending natural history, local land use, and quiet recreation.
