Originally built as a gristmill, this building was later converted by Henry Ford into a storage facility for soybeans. The soybeans were moved to the next building, a garage, where oil was extracted from the beans for use in paint for vehicles. Now known as the Community House, it remains as a visual reminder of the past, is open to the public, and is currently used for city recreation programs. Some say the soybeans once stored here can still be heard trickling down the walls today.
