The Bernard and Fern Schwartz House, known as Still Bend, is a Frank Lloyd Wright Usonian residence in Two Rivers, Wisconsin, completed in 1940 beside the East Twin River. Adapted from Wright’s 1938 Life magazine “dream house” design after Bernard Schwartz asked him to rework it for his family, it became one of Wisconsin’s best-known Wright houses. Its angled placement, red brick, cypress, glass, clerestory windows, and broad overhangs create a strong horizontal form, while radiant heat, built-in furnishings, and indoor-outdoor spaces reflect Wright’s approach. Despite construction disputes and later modifications, it has remained an important private architectural landmark.
