During the darkest hours of the country's history, George R. Porter, Walter L. Pollock, and James H. Dulgar fought for their flag. Porter served in Company G, 348, M. G. Battalion; Pollock served in 25 Company 7, Tr. Battalion 158 Infantry; and Dulgar served in Company K, 6 Regiment, U.S.M.C. Their lives spanned 1895 to 1918, 1897 to 1918, and 1896 to 1918, respectively.
