Center Point Covered Bridge is a historic covered road bridge near Center Point, West Virginia, spanning Pike's Fork, or the Middle Fork, of McElroy Creek. Commissioned by the county court and built between 1888 and 1890, it preserves the story of a late nineteenth-century rural crossing. The bridge was constructed with stone abutments by T.C. Ancell and E. Underwood and carpentry by John Ash and S.H. Smith. Built in the Long Truss style, it reflects nineteenth-century covered timber bridge engineering. By 1983, only seventeen covered bridges remained in West Virginia, and its listing on the National Register of Historic Places recognized both its engineering and transportation significance.
