Glade Mountain is a 3,672-foot peak in northeastern Georgia and the highest point in the Ellicott Rock Wilderness, a protected backcountry area spanning Georgia, North Carolina, and South Carolina. Its summit is in Rabun County within the Chattahoochee National Forest. Rather than standing out for major events or development, it is significant as the top point of a remote wilderness landscape near the three-state border. Though modest in elevation by Appalachian standards, it is an important geographic feature within a rugged, forested region whose character is defined by isolation and protected natural terrain.
