The Rockhill Trolley Museum in Rockhill Furnace, Pennsylvania, preserves and restores trolley, interurban, and transit cars and operates them on historic trackage known as the Shade Gap Electric Railway. Founded in 1960, it emphasizes seeing historic cars in motion rather than as static displays. Its first acquisition was Johnstown Traction car 311, and the collection later grew to include vehicles such as Newark PCC car 6 and Iowa Terminal Railroad snow sweeper 3. Formerly called Railways to Yesterday, the organization adopted its current name to highlight its connection to Rockhill Furnace and works closely with the nearby East Broad Top Railroad and Coal Company during special events.
