St. Mary's Covered Bridge is a historic wooden road bridge in Cromwell Township, Pennsylvania, that carries a crossing over Shade Creek. Also known as the Shade Gap Covered Bridge and Huntingdon County Bridge No. 8, it is the county's only surviving covered bridge. Built in 1889 as a Howe truss bridge, it measures 65.25 feet long and 16.5 feet wide and rests on cut stone abutments. Its preservation makes it an important reminder of the era when covered bridges were a common feature of rural transportation in Pennsylvania, and it was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1980.
