Grand Turk is a 13,167-foot peak in the San Juan Mountains of southwestern Colorado, rising about three miles southwest of Silverton on land within San Juan National Forest. Roughly eight miles west of the Continental Divide and visible from Highway 550, it stands out for its dramatic relief, climbing nearly 4,000 feet above the river in just 1.75 miles. Its runoff feeds tributaries of the Animas River, and nearby peaks include Bear Mountain and Sultan Mountain. In an alpine subarctic climate, it endures long snowy winters and cool to warm summers. Recorded since at least 1901, Grand Turk remains a notable high summit above Silverton.
