Alamere Falls is a coastal waterfall in Point Reyes National Seashore where Alamere Creek drops over shale cliffs onto the beach and toward the ocean, making it one of only two coastal waterfalls in California. Above the main shore falls, upper Alamere Falls forms three cascades on the same creek totaling about 20 to 30 feet. Reached from the Palomarin Trailhead near Bolinas, the falls are a sought-after destination known for both scenic drama and a demanding approach. The route to the base requires a longer hike, descent to the beach, and low tide conditions, and high tide often makes the final stretch unsafe.
