French Gulch Lodge
History
French Gulch Lodge No. 75 of the Independent Order of Odd Fellows was established on May 5, 1858. Erastrus Dickinson became the first Noble Grand on June 24, 1864. Fire destroyed all lodge records and the original charter. A new lodge hall was built in 1913 at a total cost of $7,341.13. The hall remained in continuous use by Odd Fellows and Rebekahs, and all notes, mortgages, and bills were paid so the property stood free and clear. The French Fire destroyed the hall on August 14, 2004.
