Private First Class Mack A. Jordan of Company F, 21st Infantry Regiment, 24th Infantry Division, born in 1928, distinguished himself by conspicuous gallantry and indomitable courage above and beyond the call of duty in action against the enemy near Kumsong, Korea, on 15 November 1951. The Medal of Honor, authorized by the United States Congress, was awarded posthumously to him under U.S. Army General Order Number 3 dated 8 January 1953. His military service is given as 18 January 1951 to 15 November 1953.
