For fifty four years, Dr. Joseph Schickel served the Cumberland County community as a physician and as an energetic and generous supporter of improvements that enhanced citizens' quality of life. Among the major projects he helped make possible were a hospital, nursing home, high school, library, Catholic church, and Veterans Memorial Park, and his presence made the community far better.
