The West Jersey Railroad's Angelsea Station was built here in 1889 as part of the West Jersey's new right-of-way. In 1896, the West Jersey merged with numerous other Pennsylvania Railroad subsidiaries to form the West Jersey & Seashore Railroad. The station was later expanded and renovated, with a grand opening on Christmas Day, 1905. Passenger service continued through Angelsea Station until November 4, 1933.
