"Bone" Mizell was DeSoto County's wag, prairie philosopher, cowboy humorist, and prankster, beloved for his merrymaking. Christened Morgan Bonapart Mizell, he was born in 1863 and died in 1912. He is buried in Joshua Creek Cemetery in DeSoto County near Arcadia.
