The Main Street canal store stands on the northwest bank of the canal and was reputedly built by Moore Furan in 1836. Its loft openings in the center building, fitted with batten doors, allowed cargo to pass directly to canal boats. Also surviving are a boat yard and basin about 100 yards northwest of Main Street, a lime kiln just southwest of the canal at Main Street, and bridge abutments just west of Main Street.
