Burgoyne Bay Provincial Park protects a coastal landscape on the southwestern side of Salt Spring Island in British Columbia, near Fulford Harbour and facing Sansum Narrows across to Vancouver Island. The bay was named in 1859 by Captain Richards for Commander Hugh Talbot Burgoyne VC of HMS Ganges. Much later, the park was established in 2004 through the purchase of private land. It began at 334 hectares and was enlarged in 2007 to 524 hectares, securing long-term protection for a significant stretch of shoreline and upland beside Mount Maxwell Provincial Park.
