Wright Park is a twenty-seven-acre arboretum and public park in Tacoma, Washington, designed by landscape architect Edward Otto Schwagerl and named for land donor Charles Barstow Wright. It serves as both a city park and a botanical collection, with more than 700 mature trees from about 100 native and exotic species, along with several notable sculptures. Its most famous feature is the W. W. Seymour Botanical Conservatory, a Victorian glasshouse built in 1907 and designed by Isaac J. Knapp. With thousands of glass panes, hundreds of plant species, rotating floral displays, and sculptures by Clarence Deming, the park and conservatory together form one of Tacoma’s most distinctive historic green spaces.
