A bell cast in Troy, New York, in 1881 for the Fishkill Plains Union Church now hangs in the schoolhouse bell tower. Rich and Rick Taylor of Hopewell Junction built a replica of the original bell tower that stood on the building from 1826 to 1956, and Doug Weck of Unit Step in Carmel, New York, donated his time and equipment to lift the tower and bell onto the roof. The work was supported by the Sons and Daughters of Italy, Joe DiMaggio Lodge #2248, East Fishkill Rotary, the EFHS board of trustees, and Mr. Art Church, and was dedicated on July 8th, 2018.
