The Brenner Building was purchased from Nathan and Esther Brenner by the Holmes County Commissioners, Robert S. Maurer, Clayton Hershberger, and Jack E Nowels, on January 27, 1982. In 1983 it housed the Holmes County Office Building, including the Auto Title Department, County Office of Education, County Engineer, License Bureau, Planning Commission, and Veterans Service Center.
