Katahdin Falls is a waterfall on Mount Katahdin in Baxter State Park, Maine, opposite Witherlie Ravine on a tributary of Katahdin Stream. Known as the tallest waterfall in the state, it descends as much as 800 vertical feet overall, including a main drop of 280 feet. Its great height and dramatic location on the slopes of Maine’s highest mountain make it one of the park’s most notable natural features.
