Jobs Sister is a high Sierra Nevada summit near Lake Tahoe on the Carson Range crest in northern California, straddling the El Dorado-Alpine county line and the boundary between Eldorado National Forest and Humboldt-Toiyabe National Forest. At 10,823 feet, it is the second-highest peak in both the Carson Range and the Tahoe Basin, just below Freel Peak. Its most dramatic rise is above Carson Valley, where it climbs about 6,000 feet in four miles, and the Tahoe Rim Trail crosses its northern slope. Its name, in use by 1881, is linked to nearby Jobs Peak, which honors Mormon settler and Carson Valley storekeeper Moses Job.
