History
In 1807, George W. Waltz or Walts, Anna Brewer Walts, and their family left Pennsylvania to go west. In 1808, a one hundred seventy acre purchase was recorded in Harrison County, Indiana Territory. In 1809, George W. Waltz petitioned Congress for U.S. Government intervention regarding pioneer suffrage, voting rights, and land payments. In 1833, he recorded the first town plat of Georgetown, Indiana, and without his dreams and visions Georgetown would not be.
